I wanted a piece that feels more alive and true to the character than just a concept sketch.

Marcus, Fallen Aasimar ex-paladin war wizard.

Marcus, born Lucius Evander, has been trained from a child to become a holy warrior, but having been cursed since birth didn't help with reaching his family's ambitious ideals. Eventually running away from home and being taken into the one place he did consider home - the Black Hand, home of the undead, he devoted himself to the one thing he felt he could truly control - magic, eventually combining his weapons and armor training with potent conjuration magic. His familiar is Sev - a small blue dragonling that he formed in the shape of his family's crest while still living there.
